VINquery API Suite

VINquery.com provides a powerful suite of six RESTful APIs aimed at enhancing processes within the automobile industry. These APIs include functionalities for decoding Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), correcting VINs, and recognizing license plates and images through advanced optical character recognition (OCR) technologies.

Key Functionalities of VINquery APIs:
1. VINdecode API 2.0: This API allows integration of a robust VIN decoding database, providing real-time data in XML/JSON format for vehicles manufactured in the US and Canada since 1981. It covers over 132 makes and 69,000 trim levels, with various data levels available from Lite to Extended Data.

2. VINfix API 2.0: Designed to correct common errors in the first eleven digits of a VIN, this API uses machine learning algorithms to identify and rectify typographical mistakes while ensuring compliance with legal standards by not altering the unique serial number.

3. VINocr API 2.0: Utilizing deep-learning techniques, this API captures VINs from documents, eliminating the need for pre-upload image optimization and enhancing extraction accuracy. It is particularly effective with still images.

4. LPR API 2.0: This license plate recognition API leverages advanced technologies like TensorFlow and YOLO V4 to process license plate images, facilitating applications such as vehicle entry management and inventory control. It addresses challenges related to varying plate designs and visibility issues.

These APIs are cloud-hosted and offered on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness for users. Signing up grants new users $480 in credits to explore the APIs without any commitment. VINquery also encourages participation in improving API accuracy by submitting images or VINs.
