Description
STEMx is an innovative learning program developed by Oracle Red Bull Racing to engage students aged 9-14 in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM). The program combines an online hub with immersive, hands-on experiences centered around Formula One. It aims to inspire students by making STEM subjects exciting and relevant through practical application and real-world connections.
The curriculum aligns with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, ensuring that the educational content is appropriate for the age group. The program offers three main experiences: the Race Day Experience, STEM Experience, and Creative Experience. These sessions can accommodate up to 30 students and last between 3 to 5 hours. Each experience is designed to promote teamwork, coding skills, and creativity while highlighting potential careers in STEM fields.
In addition to the engaging content, STEMx emphasizes inclusivity, making provisions for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to ensure that all participants can benefit from the program. The combination of online and in-person components allows for flexibility and adaptability in learning, enhancing the overall educational experience.
