Species360

Species360 is an international non-governmental organization that facilitates the management and sharing of knowledge regarding wildlife and their environments. Established in 1974 as the International Species Inventory System (ISIS), it has now grown to encompass over 1,000 member institutions across 90 countries. The organization primarily supports conservation and animal management through its flagship software, the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS).

ZIMS allows institutions such as zoos, aquariums, and rescue centers to manage animal records efficiently, conduct collaborative breeding programs, and engage in conservation research through the Species360 Conservation Science Alliance. With more than 21,000 species represented in its database, Species360 provides invaluable resources for institutional planning, veterinary best practices, and demographic management of animal collections. Additionally, membership benefits include access to educational resources, training programs, and collaborative platforms for enhancing conservation efforts globally.
